VRS ROPAX

VRS is a scientific research project funded by the European Union under the GROWTH programme with the primary objective of producing an integrated virtual environment for a life-cycle ship design. By facilitating visualization and simulation in the design process, it will help avoid design mistakes which are especially costly in the shipbuilding industry and in this way the integration of design and production will be rendered more seamless. As part of the project a virtual model of a ROPAX ferry will be produced to test the virtual environment developed providing an integrated virtual platform of ship system critical technologies.
